You will visit a historic winery in the Valpolicella Classica area, located in San Pietro in Cariano, based in a country house dating back to 1917 and surrounded by beautiful hills full of vineyards, cherry trees and olive trees. The Cantina has been renovated over the years in order to create an ideal space for processing grapes and producing the typical wines of the region.
The Cantina consists of a fruit cellar on the upper floor, where the grapes rest and dry for months, in a natural and unhurried manner, which is fundamental for the creation of Amarone and Recioto. The ground floor houses the French oak barrels and barriques. In this part of the cellar you can also get to know the most ambitious project: fermentation in terracotta amphorae, a technique used since Roman times.
Since 1919 the family has been cultivating vines and the tradition has been handed down from father to son for generations, arriving today to the current generation, who, thanks to important renovations of the cellar and the introduction of new, more modern production systems, has established his wines among the best wine productions of Valpolicella, receiving numerous awards for his Amarone della Valpolicella and Recioto and from June 2020 the company is officially organic.
The winery has always welcomed guests from all over the world to discover the history and tradition of Valpolicella, tasting its wines comfortably seated on the terrace, accompanied by local delicacies.
